The Holland Dark Meter is a hand-held test meter/receiver and companion transmistter that makes possible the sweeping of RF distribution systems before TV signals are present. This pre-signal testing lets you know if the connections are correct, all passive and cables are passing signals from 20-2150MHz to specification, and if not, where an open or short circuit exists. The companiion transmitter puts out 5 frequencies, 20, 50, 950, 1450 and 2150 MHz, to emulate those to be used on a system. The receiver uses an LCD display to indicate simultaneous signal levels of the 5 frequencies above and displays the 5 frequencies in both bar graph and numerical form and indications are in dB from 0 to -30dB.

The Dark meter also provides the capability to find the distance to a short or open on a coaxial cable within the range of 10-300 feet as well as cable identification function to identify home-run cables going to specific locations from a system distribution box.

Each unit ships complete with transmitter and receiver with Li-ion rechargable batteries, DC power supply and 20 push-on cable terminators.
